1. Peter Pan afternoon tea at Aqua Shard 🧚

Calling all Lost Boys! Prepare to set sail on a delicious adventure with Aqua Shard’s Peter Pan afternoon tea. This sky-high tea party takes place on the 31st floor of The Shard, offering panoramic views of London alongside a whimsical menu inspired by Disney’s Peter Pan.
The treats arrive on a stand resembling Captain Hook’s infamous ship, complete with billowing sails and a puff of dry ice for a touch of Neverland magic. Dive into savoury delights like Tinker Bell-shaped blinis (bite-sized pancake-style treats) or Captain Hook’s codfish goujons with a delightful tartare sauce.
When it comes to sweet treats, you can indulge in fluffy scones with jam and clotted cream served in a miniature treasure chest. Or my personal favourite, a rich chocolate mousse creation that’ll have you saying “yum” faster than you can say “crocodile.”
While the price tag might leave your wallet feeling a bit lighter than Captain Hook’s treasure chest, the stunning views, creative menu, and overall experience make it a truly special occasion. When it comes to afternoon tea experiences, this is really something else.
💬 User review: “Amazing afternoon tea, a great selection of savouries, scones and cakes. We left feeling very full!” 1980LM, TripAdvisor
- Pros: Stunning city views, creative menu inspired by the movie, perfect for a special occasion.
- Cons: On the pricier side, and the venue might be overwhelming for very young children.
- Location: Level 31, The Shard, 31 St Thomas St, SE1 9RY

Claim now2. Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea at The Waldorf Hilton🌹

If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping into the world of Beauty and the Beast, then The Waldorf Hilton’s ‘Enchanted Rose Afternoon Tea’ is your chance. From the moment you arrive, the magic begins. Imagine entering a room bathed in soft light, twinkling with fairy lights, and adorned with cascading roses – it’s like walking straight into the Beast’s enchanted castle.
The real enchantment, however, lies in the three-tiered high tea stand. Delicate finger sandwiches filled with roasted red pepper hummus and roasted vegetables, and the scones? Warm, golden, and served with rose petal jam – a delightful reference to the Beast’s curse.
But the true stars of the show are the sweet treats. Picture a miniature replica of Belle’s iconic yellow dress, crafted entirely from lemon meringue pie. Plus a chocolate Enchanted Rose, shimmering and tempting, just like the one that holds the Beast’s fate.
The price might be a tad steeper than Lumiere’s candlestick, but I have to admit, the experience is truly unforgettable. The beautiful setting, the charming details, and the delectable treats make it a perfect afternoon for a special occasion or simply a delightful escape into a world of fairytale magic.
💬 User review: “Excellent service and helpful. It was an amazing setting. The decor was stunning. All details within the tea was great. The excellent cakes and detail put towards this is fantastic. I loved the chip cup and was made to feel comfortable on my birthday with an extra cake.” Rachael H, TripAdvisor
- Pros: Curated by Executive Chef Luke Rayment-Blakey and with a truly magical menu
- Cons: On the pricier side and menu might not be ideal for young children
- Price: Starts from £60 per person.
- Location: Aldwych, WC2B 4DD
3. Mad Hatters afternoon tea at The Sanderson Hotel 🎩

We’re all mad here! If you or you know a little one who’s obsessed with all things Alice, they’ll love The Sanderson Hotel. The menu is pretty classic but comes with some nice nods to Alice in Wonderland.
There’s an adult and child menu, but they’re both fairly similar. The children’s menu is £45 per child and comes with ham and cheese sandwiches, blue caterpillar chocolate bites, ‘Knights Chess’ cupcakes, and a fun peach-flavoured ‘Drink Me’ potion in a glass vial. The adult menu is a bit more complex flavour-wise and comes with a fun ‘Rabbit in the Hole’ chocolate flower pot!
The best part for us was the range of teas though. You can pick different teas inspired by key characters – an Alice-inspired vanilla black tea, a Mad Hatter-inspired green tea, a Queen of Hearts-inspired rose-flavoured tea and so on. However, we went with my young nephew who chose the Mad Hatter green tea and wasn’t sure what to make of it…
On Google Maps it looks a bit far off the beaten track, but it’s an easy walk from Tottenham Court Road station (don’t go to Oxford Circus unless you love overcrowding).
User review: “Amazing themed tea with amazing food. Looks like finger food but really fills you up! We had Mohammed & Filip as our servers and they were amazing. Gave us some direction on the menu for our very first afternoon tea” – Zoey T, TripAdvisor
- Pros: Great for adults and children, and the whole menu is very thoughtfully created with lots of fun small details
- Cons: Not the most obvious ‘Disney afternoon tea’, but a great pick if you love Alice in Wonderland.
- Price: Starts from £65 per person.
- Location: 50 Berners St, London W1T 3NG

2. ‘Lion King’ afternoon tea at Pan Pacific London

While not officially inspired byThe Lion King, the afternoon tea at Pan Pacific London offers a great experience that will delight any little Simba fans. Their afternoon tea is served in the stunning Maxwell Room, which feels like stepping into an urban jungle. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light, and the room is filled with lush tropical plants (very Pride Rock vibes).
The afternoon tea has a playful lion theme – you’ll get lion-shaped cookies that kids can decorate themselves, along with a lion-themed colouring book. While it’s not an official Lion King event, the combination of the setting and the theme makes it pretty memorable!
